Next weekend we have the Paddy Sharkey Memorial Perpetual Lough Gara Cup. 
The following weekend the car boot sale & the weekend after that is the Paddy's day Parade.

Oakport Lake 25th Feb 2012 Donnellan Cup

A great days fishing was had by all on Oak-port lake.
There were more than 30 pike landed & as always the winner from this venue is a high double.
1st Pat Healy 19pd 15oz.
2nd Joe Mc Dermott 16pd
3rd Barry Darby 12pd 7oz.

Easter Angling Festival

Thanks to all for there support last Sunday with the car boot sale. Its full steam ahead now to Easter.

Great weather for the time of year, maybe a bit to good for fishing. The lake was like a mirror & hence the catch rate low. Still there was a brilliant turn out for our 1st event of the year with 22 fishing.

Car Boot Sale Sunday 11th March

Boyle & District Angling Club are holding a car boot sale on Sunday 11th march on the Crescent in Boyle. All proceeds will go towards the running of their Easter Pike Angling Festival. Anyone that may have items they would like to donate we would be grateful for,collection items can be arranged. Just call Jane 086 8301261.
