Junior Competition
The
Juniors had a total of 12 entrants.
In
Third place with a cheque for €50 with a fish weighing 4lb 10oz weighed at

In
Second Place with a cheque for €100 with a fish weighing 8lb even weighed at
Bullock Island is Niall Diffley.

First Place with a Shield sponsored by Boyle & District Angling Club plus
€200 sponsored by Noel Daly with a fish weighed at Doon Shore, weighing 15lb

Ladies Competition
There
were 6 entrants in the Ladies competition.

Trophy and a Winners Jacket for 2012 with a fish weighing 20lb 15oz weighed at Doon Shore

Finally, for every winner, there has to be a loser and my good friends Liam Conroy and Stewart Connolly have kept up their quite amazing performances in this competition. Decked out in all their fishing regalia, our 2 little soldiers toiled against the elements for 2 long days. Sadly, nothing was to come of it and these brave little boys head home tired and weary with a heavy hearts (I could cry myself whilst writing this piece, such is the emotion of the occasion). In summary the total fish caught by our 2 little brave boys was a big fat zero. Better luck next year lads.
For poor Liam and Stewart, I would look away now. For everyone else, I have pictures of the winners over the weekend below.
